Petrified Log

A petrified log: a fossil conifer trunk turned to stone, broken into four or five short rounds lying in a line on flat-cut bases at y=0, 5.0 x 1.0 m, each broken face showing its growth rings as real stepped concentric bands in jasper rust, ochre.
